Oh course! You work is amazing and I wish I could draw like you but I need A LOT of practice and I never seem to have time... alas 3D is more my medium.

 Thank you. I know when I first started out I never really had time to practice either.. but whenever I could I would doodle.. I drew people on the bus, when I was on my break. I used to use a lot of reference.. in a way I still use it a lot..just not for the same reasons. I rather enjoy 3D work myself. I'm not as skilled as some of my other friends but its still something I enjoy viewing. :D

Well. When it comes to 3D, I am quite skilled in the modeling aspect but I lack considerably any skill in texturing and lighting. In terms of pencil art, it is like I am able to draw out draw out the lines of the subject but can not shade it... which is useless in 3D...
:iconcetylnautica:
ok I asked him. He said he uses ambient occlusion (or just occlusion)and all it means is darkening places where light cant reach well.. hope that helps

My one 3D friend when I was first practicing shading showed me a mode in the program he uses that really helped me figure out how exactly to shade a 2d image.. I don't remember the name of it off hand. I'll be sure to ask him next time I see him and relay the info because it was really useful. sorry for the late reply work been a pain.
